Description of internship position:
Interns will learn about and practice skills related to direct patient care in an Outpatient Cardiac Rehab setting. The opportunity provides experience related to numerous cardiac diagnoses, medications, and heart rhythm monitoring. Interns will assist patients with daily sessions, including an exercise prescription.
Learning outcomes:
Interns will check in patients, assess blood pressures, and learn how to guide and direct patients through various exercise modalities. Interns will acquire skills in patient interactions as well as being part of a multi-specialty healthcare team.
